I am a counterterrorism and terrorism prevention expert and the founder of the Priority Sustainable Counterterrorism Model. I have been studying terrorism, radicalization, with a focus on an individual's engagement with a terrorist group & a terrorist group's engagement with civilians for over a decade. I hold a Master's in Security and Terrorism Studies and Graduate Certificate in Terrorism Analysis from DHS Center of Excellence, START (The National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism) at the University of Maryland. Serve on the Steering Committee of the Atrocity Prevention Lab at Harvard Humanitarian, am a Senior Fellow at the Center on Terrorism, Extremism, and Counter-Terrorism at Middlebury Institute, and am a Research Fellow at the Modern War Institute at West Point. In 2022 I established the Priority Sustainable Counterterrorism Model and Portfolio at a strategy and policy think tank in Washington D.C. where I led a team to conduct violent non-state actor landscape reports; collect data on terrorism and conflict landscapes around the world; mapped over 400 small and under-connected civil society organizations across Africa; engaged with hundreds of experts, practitioners, government advisors, embassy staff, intelligence, and policymakers across U.S. State Department, Department of Defense, the United Nations, the African Union, and foreign governments; and convened the best of the best across sectors and levels to prioritize effective terrorism prevention.
